Player Hierachy and Functionality

Player Characteristics

Each player's NFT can belong to 1 of 4 different factions within the Ratel Cartel, the Skulls, Jokers, Crowns, and Spades.

A player’s level in the Cartel hierarchy is determined by how many XP points his Ratel NFT has.

In Ratel Cartel we call XP points Street Cred points (SC)

SC points are allocated to each Ratel NFT upon minting, using a sliding scale calculated from the rarity level of the NFT. So, the higher your NFT rarity rating, the more SC your Ratel is ‘born’ with. You also earn SC points as you progress through the game, and these SC points are cumulative and permanent. The longer and more successfully you play the game, the more powerful your character becomes. So even if you mint a more common Ratel, you can still move up in the Cartel.

Hierachy

So, as in any organization, there is a hierarchy. We start at the bottom as a ‘Cub’. Then we progress to being a Made Member. Then Ranking Member. Underboss. Boss, and so on. Every level in the hierarchy has the potential for increasing economic rewards. A Ratel Cub begins life in the game with low SC that places him at the bottom of the hierarchy, a foot soldier.

80% of the 10,000 minted Ratels will be Cubs .

The lucky 20% of rare Ratels mint with enough SC begin the game as Made Members.

Player Attributes

A Cub can carry one weapon, 100 stash items, join a gang, and fight in battles. Carry capacity of weapons and Stash Items can be upgraded. However, there are elements of gameplay out of reach to a Cub that are economically more rewarding. Once a Cub accumulates enough SC he gets promoted to Made Member status, which allows full access to all elements of gameplay.

Now, as well as being able to buy and carry a weapon and fight and trade stash items, as a Made Member a player can;

1) Form his own gang with at least 3 cubs

2) Mint more powerful NFT weapons at the gunsmithing bench (Cubs can only purchase their weapon at the gun store and from the street gun dealer with HONEY tokens.)

3) Own NFT real estate within the game that has a variety of staking reward mechanisms.

4) Operate an NFT laboratory on that real estate to manufacture stash items.

5) Carry up to 3 weapons. Capacity for carrying more weapons can be bought in-game.

6) Make loans to the cubs in his Gang

Players can play the game with no NFT, and they will be issued a generic Ratel character when they set up a Ratel game account. Free-To-Play Ratels (FTPRs) can accumulate SC points and weaponry like a Cub can, but any HONEY an FTPR accumulates will be burned at the end of the gaming season. They don't factor into the Cartel hierachy.

This means they will not be included on the P2E leaderboard and will receive no BEEs payout.
