Game Overview

Ratel Cartel is a Play and Earn RPG Battler that takes place in an alternate reality version of New York City. This world is populated by intelligent honey badgers (Ratels). The Ratel Cartel NFT will be the player's character in the game. Known for their ferocity, giant-killer status, excellent fashion sense, and win at all costs mentality, Ratels are honey dealers living in New York City. Here, honey and all the products that come from bees are the most valuable, desired, and scarce commodities in the Ratel world.

So valuable is this honey, cartels and gangs fight for control over the trade, and corrupt cops try and get in on the action too. The player travels around various parts of New York, Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, and other boroughs. The player will buy and sell stash items of varying value such as Honey, Royal Jelly, Honey Comb, Wax, Sting, Honeypot and crystalized honey known as Crystal H. The player also aims to accumulate NFT weaponry that makes his or her character stronger.

The goal of the game is to make the most HONEY tokens in the given gaming period whilst battling other Players and escaping the corrupt and devious Officer Warthog and his deputies. Ratel Cartel will have a virtual honey trading economy, where investors can generate passive income by staking their in-game assets, and players can trade stash items and weapons and compete against other players to play to earn.

We anticipate NFT owners staking their NFTs to earn HONEY, which will pay BEES at the end of each 7 day game season. This dual currency system is explained later in the Lite-paper. We would expect NFT owners who don’t play the game to loan their NFTs to players who don’t have an NFT but want to P2E, through a negotiated smart contract that sets the terms of token distribution between the NFT owner and the player.

Development

Airdrop Games has been engaged as the game developer. Some elements of gameplay will be posted on Discord to be debated over, as we want the community to be involved in the development of Ratel Cartel Game. This is a Lite Paper, we welcome a brains trust of gamers from the Ratel Cartel ecosystem to help create a truly rewarding and balanced gaming experience. Upon completion of the design phase of game and token economics, the white paper will be published with finalized game mechanics and audited smart contracts.
